Fine Gunmaking

Started by Dan Rossiter Jr. in 2010 Custom Stocks and Steel began by providing full gunsmithing services to our clients. Shortly thereafter Dan Sr. joined the business and began learning certain aspects of the trade. Today he is handling the majority of our gunstock inletting as well as running our gunstock duplication shop. In 2017 Dan Jr. became a professional member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild in the category of Stockmaker. At that time the decision was made to specialize in a few specific tasks rather than continue as a “do it all” shop. Today Custom Stocks and Steel focuses on stockmaking, restoration of classic double guns and rifles, custom metalsmiting, gunstock duplication for the trade, as well as building a few custom guns each year. Mrs. Shari Rossiter is also part of the business functioning as office manager, secretary, bookkeeper and benevolent dictator.
